On the morning of May 26, 2021, Director Feng Zhongping met with Nicolas Chapuis, head of the European Union mission to China, and his delegation at the European Institute.

On behalf of the Institute of European Studies, Director Feng Zhongping welcomed Nicolas Chapuis and his delegation. Nicolas Chapuis congratulated Director Feng Zhongping on his new appointment and expressed his expectation to further consolidate the good relations between the two sides together with Director Feng. Both sides discussed the China-EU Relations, EU's "India strategy" and other issues of common concern.

The talks were held in a warm and frank atmosphere. Zhou Hong, Director of the Division of International Studies CASS, Tian Dewen, Chen Xin and Liu Zuokui, Deputy Directors of the Institute of European Studies, attended the meeting.
