Annual Conference of British Studies in China

The 7th Annual Conference of the Society of British Studies of the Chinese Association for European Studies (CAES), with a focus on “Britain and the World: Change and Continuity”, was held on November 16-17 2012 at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU).

This Conference was co-sponsored by the Society of British Studies of the Chinese Association for European Studies, the British Studies Centre of BSFU and the British Embassy in China.

More than 50 Chinese scholars and experts from research institutes and universities and officials from related Chinese departments, three British scholars and some officials from the British Embassy participated in this Conference.

At the Conference, the participants made deep-going discussions about the UK’s roles in the world, with a focus on its change and continuity, from a wide range of perspectives including politics, economy, society and international relations.
