Foundation Centre of China Studies (CACCS)

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) -Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation Centre of China Studies (CACCS) is one of the overseas China research centres affiliated with CASS. On November 11, 2019, witnessed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and then Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos, CASS and the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation (ALF) signed a cooperation agreement to jointly establish the CACCS. On November 12, 2019, the CACCS was Officially unveiled and established at the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation Library in Piraeus, Greece. Since its establishment, CACCS has adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, with the aim of promoting the academic collaborative development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Greece and even Europe, and building a high-level think tank exchange and cooperation platform between China and Europe. CACCS has held many international academic seminars on themes such as high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and facilitating cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and Europe. It has also promoted various forms of academic exchange activities, including joint research between China and Europe, dissemination of academic achievements, and scholar exchanges. CACCS will continue to consolidate and deepen its exchanges and cooperation with the Greek academic community, providing academic support for better promoting the friendly development of China-Greece relations.
