"Reform and Innovation of Capital and Labor Market in European Union", a CASS Key Research Project undertaken by professor Xue Yan Ping and Professor Zhang Min, was concluded in October 2009. Two papers based on the study results were published. The study focus on three issues, i.e. the concept and policy framework of a pan-European capital market, the role of strategic investors in European capital markets, and the content and impact of a pro-active European labor market. In the study, Professor Xue Yan Ping gives a detailed discussion of the feature, reform and innovation of European capital markets, analyzing the internal logics and external condition of the market. Professor Zhang Min presents an analytic framework of European labor market, addressing the theories and realities of the issue. The study is significant in the terms of academic achievements and practical value, providing some useful European experience for the policy adjustment and reform of capital markets and labor market in China
